Summary:

Twelve international mining companies prospecting in Mondulkiri have come under the government’s spotlight as they are requested to come forward to account for their activities in Cambodia.
The officials complained that those companies have never informed their activities to the government. So far, there are only three licensed mining companies- BHP Billiton, Metal Group and Southern Gold- have worked with authorities in Mondulkiri.
It is also reported that the China Forwin Investment Co Ltd (mining company) withdrew from Cambodia after a Chinese expert died of malaria.
