Youth Resource Development Program

The Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP) became a local non-governmental youth organization in 1998. YRDP is not affiliated with any political party or religion and bases its work on the values of empowerment, development, active non-violence, solidarity, gender equity, impartiality, and transparency. YRDP’s mission is to encourage Cambodian youth to develop their social conscience and to take responsibility for their own future and the future of their family, society and country. Through YRDP training programs university students learn about human rights, peace building, gender equity, community development, and inter-faith and cross-cultural understanding.

The NGO Forum on Cambodia
The NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOF) had its beginnings in the 1980s in an international NGO campaign to advocate an end to the aid embargo then imposed on Cambodia. The NGOF is a membership organisation for local and international NGOs working in Cambodia. It exists for information sharing, debate and advocacy on priority issues affecting Cambodia’s development. All NGO Forum projects seek to build NGO cooperation for advocacy by facilitating the activities of an NGO network. The NGO Forum has an important role to highlight the impact of development processes and economic, social and political changes on Cambodians.

Development and partnership in action
After more than 25 years working in the field of development in Cambodia and achieving significant results in keeping with its mission, CIDSE-Cambodia became a local NGO, re-named Development and Partnership in Action (DPA). DPA is a Cambodian NGO, striving to empower and support poor and vulnerable people in rural areas in order to improve their quality of life through sustainable development. To achieve its mission, DPA implements projects in three program areas: Development Education and Advocacy, Integrated Community Development and Partnership.

Advocacy and policy institute
Advocacy and policy institute (API) is a Cambodian non-profit NGO with a mission to serve the long-term democratic and social development needs of Cambodia through the provision of services in the areas of advocacy and policy development. Since its formation in July 2003, the API has become established as one of the leading advocacy capacity-building institutions in Cambodia. The API’s mission is to increase Cambodia’s democratic space by creating more effective advocates and more responsive government institutions to address issues of public policy, justice, human rights, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
STAR Kampuchea
STAR Kampuchea is a Cambodian non-profit and non-partisan organization. It was established in August 1997 and is dedicated to building democracy by strengthening civil society. It is a network organization cooperating with civil society organizations in Phnom Penh and seven provinces. STAR Kampuchea’s advocacy strategy aims to address as many organizations and Cambodian citizens as possible in order to integrate them in Cambodian legislative processes and to raise awareness of Cambodian legislation. STAR Kampuchea also offers training and organizational and financial support to build strong and dynamic civil society organizations.

Non- Timber Forest Products Cambodia

Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP) is a local NGO based in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. Since it was established in 1996, they have played a critical role in helping indigenous people secure their rights to their land and natural resources. NTFP’s mission is to promote indigenous communities, both women and men, to effectively and equitably participate in decision making allowing them to choose their own future, especially to assure their rights in sustainably managing, using and developing their land and natural resources that are the basis of their livelihoods and for conserving their culture.

The Cambodian Center for Independent Media

The Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM) is a non-partisan, non-profit, NGO based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Established in June 2007, it is an offshoot of the Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR). CCIM was organized to continue the production of Voice of Democracy (VOD) radio programs started by CCHR in January 2003, when there was very limited discussion of human rights on radio. VOD radio programs aim to educate people about issues on human rights and politics, among others. The vision of the organization is for Cambodian media to freely, independently and responsibly inform, educate and empower the people.
